Upper Division Student Community
University Housing is committed to providing a residential experience for upper division students that complements your academic choices and supports your engagement in the broader ASU experience, designed with one thing in mind -YOU.
As a continuing resident, you’ll have access to academic resources right where you live. Cholla's vibrant, active community includes programs and services that are specifically designed for the upperclass student experience. Many opportunities will be available to you, from job-shadowing opportunities to networking with prospective employers. In addition, you will also have access to in-hall study groups, recreational sports and late-night programs. Living on campus makes it easier for you to stay connected and take full advantage of the resources available throughout the university.
Global Leaders Living Experience
The Global Leaders Living Experience is an opt-in experience that encourages intercultural connections, international student support, and global thinking within the residential halls. The experience specifically aims to develop and educate resident students about issues that international students face, how to communicate effectively with people from different ways of life, and how to understand and appreciate cultural differences. The Global Leaders Experience provides the opportunity for residents to be paired to live together in a domestic student-international student paradigm. The domestic student will have an international exchange student as a roommate, and the international student will have a domestic student roommate-or if living in a single room, connect one-on-one with another person who also lives in a single. The intentional pairing is an opportunity for the ASU student to be a friend and support to that individual international exchange student and assist that student in language acquisition, American cultural adaptation, and connecting to resources on-campus all while making a friend from another culture, learning the native language from their new friend from another country, and working towards achieving a broader perspective of the world around them.
