How to Apply for University Housing
University Housing is here to assist you in every step of your journey to life after college.

The experience you have and the memories you make when you live on campus will last a lifetime. There’s so much to do on campus and you can be right in the middle of all that ASU has to offer.
If you are not sure which option pertains to you, please review the definitions we use for the University Housing application:
- First year students live in identified first year buildings while Continuing students live in identified upper division communities.
- “First-year” means that you are entering your first year of college. When renewing your housing for a second year or beyond, you will apply as a Continuing student.
- “Continuing students” are students in their second year and beyond, and/or who are no longer in their first year at ASU, are transfer students with one or more years of college credit from another institution, or are enrolled in a graduate program.
- Housing spaces are assigned by the residential college of your major.

Note: Bed spaces may be chosen prior to May 1, 2025
Housing applications received after May 1, 2025 will be administratively assigned a space.

First Year Student Application

- Pay enrollment deposit of $300
- Visit Housing Portal to apply for on-campus housing
- Select application term (academic year)
- Fill out application and personal information
- Download and sign License Agreement with your 10-digit student ID number
- Room and roommate Selection -

Application Timeline

| February 3 - 7, 2025 | Barrett Priority Room Selection (only Barrett specific buildings will be selectable during this time) |
| February 11 - 15, 2025 | General Room Selection (for those who participated in the above application process and are non-Barrett students) |
| February 18, 2025 | Room Selection for those currently living off campus or did not complete application in January time frame |
