Living on campus is recommended for upper division students as well as first time freshmen—not only because living on campus enhances your experience — you are also more likely to excel in the classroom, get more involved in campus activities, have more interaction with faculty and feel more connected to the campus community.
Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 – Friday, Nov. 9, 2018: Tempe Priority Renewal
Barrett, the Honors College sophomores, juniors and seniors who are interested in participating in the Barrett Priority Housing Room Selection can log in to the MyHousing Portal and complete the housing application up to the point of selecting a room starting Monday, Oct. 29, 2018 through Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018 at 5pm. All students who have completed this step will be assigned a lottery time for room selection for the following week based on their roommate group data.
Tempe Barrett Priority Housing Room Selection Process
Students participating in the Barrett Priority Housing Process will receive an assigned lottery time to assign their roommate groups to an apartment type that matches their total number of roommates. Room selection will take place on the following days (timeslots will between the hours of 10am to 4pm):
Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 – Friday, Nov. 16, 2018
Barrett students on the Downtown, Polytechnic, and West campuses will participate in room selection. More details about your process and expectations will be communicated by hall staff and through your ASU email.
Monday, Nov. 19, 2018 – Wednesday, Nov. 21, 2018: Tempe General Renewal
Barrett, the Honors College sophomores, juniors and seniors, with Tempe campus majors, who did not participate in Barrett Priority Housing Room Selection will have the ability to log in to the MyHousing Portal and complete the housing application in its entirety. Students will have the option to select any room spaces that are available in BHC Upper Division Communities.
Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 – Friday, Nov. 30, 2018
Same Space Selection
Eligible students interested in staying in their current room and bed space can log in to the MyHousing Portal to complete the housing application and renew their current housing assignment on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018 – Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 30, 2018, all returning students can complete a housing application and participate in room selection.
Monday, December 3, 2018: General Upper Division Application Available
Upper Division students who are not currently living on-campus are eligible to complete a housing application and participate in room selection. Room self-selection will conclude in early May 2019.
