Welcome to your new Sun Devil home

We are excited that you will be living on campus.

Freshmen (Fall 2023) move-in will start the week prior to classes and depend on your campus location. You will receive a move in appointment time and instructions for move-in via your ASU email account, during the week of July 4th.

Move-in Dates: Your assigned move-in date and time will be published on My ASU when details are available. You will also receive instructions to your ASU email account after July 6th or within seven business days of your assignment, if assigned after July 1st.

ASU Welcome: Kick off your new life as a Sun Devil by attending ASU Welcome events. Search events and start building your schedule.

 

 

 

Room assignment details: To view your housing assignment, check your housing application through the Housing Portal or visit My ASU and look under the “Campus Services” tab. First year students are guaranteed a room with University Housing, though your room assignment may change in the weeks leading up to move-in.

 

 

 

Roommate information: Your roommate information will be available for you to view under your Room Assignment details in the Housing Portal.

What to bring: From your computer to a pillow, review the "what to bring" checklist to make sure you arrive prepared. Get your What to Bring List.

 

 

 

Pre-shipping details: Your mailbox assignment will be published in My ASU, and you will be able to send items to your address after August 1st, 2023. The UPS Store receives and holds packages until move in, but not prior to August 1st, 2023. Make sure to include your first and last name and mailbox number on all packages.

 

 

 

Move-in early: Only students participating in an approved ASU-sponsored event or program are eligible to check into the halls early. Visit My ASU Housing to review the ASU approved early arrival programs.

 

 

 

Move-in day: Move-in dates and times are assigned in order to ensure a quality move in experience and decrease any traffic issues or wait times. We appreciate your assistance in adhering to your assigned move-in date and time. Visit My ASU for your move in time, date and check in location in July. This information will also be sent to your ASU email account when it is available.

 

 

 

Late check-in: If you need to check-in later than your assigned move-in date, you are required to email University Housing from your @asu.edu email account.
Note: Housing and meal plan rates will not be prorated for late check-in.

 

 

 

Housing policies: To help keep you and your neighbors safe, please make sure to reference the University Housing Policies for an exhaustive list of what not to bring and important resident information.

 

 

 

Charges and rates: Housing and dining charges are billed once per semester. Once you sign your license agreement, you are financially responsible for housing and dining costs for the entire academic year.
Housing rates vary based on campus, residence hall and room configuration.

 

 

 

Residential meal plans: Meal plans are required for all first-year students living on campus and certain upper division students in non-apartment style, on-campus living accommodations.
Meal plan change requests are accepted up through the first week of classes each semester through the Housing portal.

 

 

 

Parking at ASU: If you are planning to park your vehicle on campus or plan to utilize public transportation, visit Parking and Transit Services.

 

 

 

Services: University and Student Services (USS) provides convenient services such as housekeeping options, microfridge rentals, laundry pick-up services and water cooler rental. Available services vary across all ASU campus locations.

 

 

Students who choose not to attend ASU after paying the enrollment deposit must give official notification of non-attendance to the ASU New Student Programs office at orientation@asu.edu or 480-965-2880.

Students who wish to cancel their Housing application or room reservation must sign into My ASU Housing and select the option to cancel the application. Cancellation fees may apply and are outlined in the 2023 – 2024 Schedule of Charges and Deadlines.
