Attend ASU and live on campus

Welcome to the United States and Arizona State University. When you live on campus, you will have many opportunities to immerse yourself in American culture and live among international and domestic students. When you live on campus, you won’t need to worry about setting up your Internet, water or electricity, or purchasing furniture because it is included in your housing.

As a first-year international freshman, you are expected to live on campus in a residential college with others who share your major or career interests. Residential colleges provide supportive, close-knit communities and feature programs, events, and amenities tailored to your major. Explore your housing options.

Upper division students can choose to live in a variety of housing options including on-campus suite-style rooms and shared apartments with a kitchen.

Features of living on campus

  • Safety and security
  • Close to classes, academic buildings, student services and campus dining locations
  • Trained, on-site residential staff available 24/7
  • Fully furnished rooms and community spaces
  • University meal plans available
  • Includes housing, utilities, cable and Internet

Reserve your housing now

Take your next steps to living on campus

Visit My ASU Housing to reserve your housing in three steps.

  1. Start your application
Review and complete your housing license agreement.

  2. Search for roommates
If you are a freshman, your future roommate should be assigned to the same residential college community. You will have an opportunity to let us know your preferences for a roommate, like country of origin or religion.

  3. Complete your room and meal plan selection
For freshmen, housing options are based on your campus and academic major. Upper division international students are encouraged to purchase a meal plan. Meal plans are a pre-paid account that allows you to eat at the dining halls on campus and other on-campus retail locations throughout the semester. You will have the option to choose your meal plan based on how many meals you can eat each day. Learn more about your meal plan options. Make sure you review the schedule of charges and deadlines so that you don’t miss an important deadline or step in the housing application process.

Housing is guaranteed for first-time freshmen.
