Students at the Tempe campus focus on the arts, business and entrepreneurship, engineering, scientific discovery, sustainability and education, in a supportive environment. Students form connections that last a lifetime and build skills that define their future careers. Broad pedestrian malls, subtropical landscaping and imaginative architecture welcome students studying in research-based programs at the historic Tempe campus. The Sun Devils’ athletic complex, performing arts facilities and high-tech research space create a dynamic and engaging learning environment.
ASU’s Residential Colleges place first time freshmen students next door to classmates from the same college so creative connections can happen anywhere. These living-learning communities provide a supportive, close-knit culture designed to help students succeed at ASU.
Residential Colleges are configured in thirteen unique residential facilities located throughout the campus. All Residential Colleges are situated in proximity to an All-You-Care-to-Eat dining facility and have amenities that support academic success, student engagement and recreation, such as sports and recreation facilities, volleyball courts, barbecue grills, computer labs, group study rooms, community spaces and landscaped courtyards.
Upper class students have the opportunity to reside within limited number of rooms within the Barrett Residential College, Ira Fulton Engineering and Herberger. Upper Class students at Tempe also have the opportunity to reside in mixed college halls at Vista Del Sol, Villas at Vista Del Sol and Cholla Apartments.
