New world, new home – a total experience
Welcome to University Housing at Arizona State University. ASU is committed to ensuring the academic and personal success of each student and expects all first-time freshmen to live on campus in their residential college. Students who live on campus have greater involvement in the campus community, achieve higher grades, have increased contact with faculty members and students, have additional opportunities for leadership development, and are more likely to graduate. Student life at ASU is dynamic and creative. Outside the classroom, ASU students participate in career-focused internships; mentor young students at local schools; attend lectures by prominent researchers and other creative individuals; absorb the rich culture and unique beauty of metro Phoenix; and study abroad for a semester or part of the summer.
As an ASU residential student, you will have many opportunities to connect to academic resources, programs, and events tailored to your personal development and educational interests to help you make the most of your first year as a Sun Devil.
The residential college experience
ASU’s student housing is composed of Residential Colleges that place students with classmates from the same major. These living-learning communities provide a supportive, close-knit culture designed to help you succeed at the university by providing additional opportunities for you to connect with faculty and staff and engage in meaningful ways with the broader university community.
Our professional and student staff play a vital role in developing and maintaining an atmosphere that promotes academic and personal success. Residential College staff include professional live-in staff and student leaders, such as community assistants and peer mentors, who support residents with their transition to university life.
